Been looking for a bag that would limit how much stuff I could carry to what was practical as opposed to an ever increasing load. And look like something a guy in his 50's with a SVP title would look fine carrying either by handle or strap.This one does all that, organizes just fine to all the small and big stuff. Really like the PC in the back-pouch which has cleaned up airport security pulling in/out at speed. If you stuff it, it will bulge and stop looking so classy, so don't stuff it. The one odd thing is the bag is longer than needed for PC, magazines, tablets etc with an extra five inches at the top. Good place to drop a book.One knock is there is no ability to reconfigure to a single shoulder strap, but the balance on the bag is such that you can do the same with the left strap.

By dearthTwo main criteria were to find a backpack that would hold my laptop and other gear, stand up to constant commuting and still look good transitioning from public transportation to a formal/professional setting.This backpack looks GOOD when I bring it in - impresses co-workers and colleagues - and STILL looks good after several months of hard use in all weather conditions. Comfortable to wear even when I load it down - holds a 15.4" widescreen laptop no problem, as well as notebooks, laptop accessories and quite a bit of personal gear too with very handy front pockets.Only downside is that a few months in, the portions of the leather-wrapper handle that attach to the backpack started fraying - which is odd considering I never actually hold this bag by the handle. If I do have to grip the handle and the backpack is fully loaded, the backpack has never given way. Really sturdy and good-looking backpack.looks good in a professional setting and holds a lot
